Jennifer Ryan is an emerging author you really need to check out. From short stories to full length fiction to reflections on life, Jennifer is an author willing to explore everything on a journey to find her voice. On that journey, she has used her considerable talent to not only find her own, but to also amplify the voices of those around her.

180 Days of Teaching is a look into Jennifer’s life as a teacher and the lives of her students. Sometimes sad, sometimes challenging, and sometimes wickedly funny, we get a glimpse into their lives and hope as much as she does that they go on to achieve their dreams.

Mairead the Selkie is her longest work of fiction to date and is an entertaining fairytale with endearing characters. It’s told in serial format, and I eagerly await each new segment. I can’t wait to find out what happens next!

— Beth

What would you do if your world was turned upside down? Mairead is a girl with a secret. She has always known she is a Selkie, but she never knew she was Selkie ROYALTY. When she loses the only mother she has ever known, she is thrown onto a new path to find her place in the world. This is a story of discovery. Finding friends, a family, a new world…yourself.

There is magic here in the mythology, but also the ordinary magic of watching the characters grow, change and learn.

Jennifer is a special person who puts her heart into her work. Her whole heart. There are pieces of HER in all of these characters. Their journey is hers as well. Jennifer’s writing is a gift and I look forward to each piece whether it’s a pondering, a blog, a short story or a musing about the world around us.

She can even make an afternoon of creating magnets or trying out a new sugar free brownie recipe a side splitting comic relief for the day!

It’s so refreshing. Truly. Thank you for sharing your passion with us, Jennifer!

Personalized Stories

Do you have an upcoming event you want to mark?

A celebration you need the perfect gift for?

Someone who has ‘everything’ and you still need to give them something?

I create personalized stories for my clients to give them an opportunity to create a lasting memory for themselves or a loved one.

I’ve written visualizations for people who want to meditate but can’t quite ‘see’ their perfect life, memorial stories to mark the lives of family members who have passed, and adventure stories to give someone the joy of seeing themself as the hero/heroine of the story!

A personalized story gives you the opportunity to pick a genre, the main characters, and end up with a 2,000-3,000 word story that is a one-of-a-kind gift.

Copywriting

I also do copywriting for myself and other clients.

“While Jennifer might be known for her fictional work, she is very versatile and that’s why I approached Jennifer to help me with some copy for my Cacao Farm in Hawaii’s Instagram account. Jennifer took over the project easily and was able to quickly fill in over a month of work. The copy varied from Hawaiian gods, to agriculture, to Hawaii. We were more than pleased with the copy, the ease, and speed of working with her and are excited to keep working with her.”

Jennifer’s storytelling is amazing! I could feel the emotions of each character as the story unfolded. She really puts you into the story with the characters.

I love it!

I’ve been reading your writing pieces on your blog and wanted to tell you, your writing is spectacular!

I’m genuinely enjoying reading them!

— Jojo

I enjoy Jennifer Ryan’s writing. It does not matter if it is the next part in a fictional story, her Patreon Newsletter, or her blog TimeToStopAndThink.com

I usually end up reflecting on my own life and marvel at Jennifer’s ability to articulate so clearly and simply how I may feel, or enable me to reflect on how I think differently. Thank you, Jennifer.

— Rhonda

I am in love with the main characters and their dynamic between each other. I’m rooting for them to succeed and can’t wait to read the final part. It will be so bittersweet.

Thank you Jennifer.
